Beta Blockers Prior to Admission Who Received Beta Blockers |

Beta blockers are a type of medication used to treat blood pressure problems, control heart rate, and treat some types of heart problems. For most patients who usually take these medications, it is important that they get them while they are having surgery. At SBUH, 88% of a sample of 170 eligible surgery patients got appropriate beta blocker medication during surgery. A high score is better than a low score.
