The CAHPS (Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) Hospital Survey, also known as Hospital CAHPS or HCAHPS, is a standardized survey instrument and data collection methodology for measuring patients' perspectives of hospital care. HCAHPS is a core set of questions that can be combined with customized, hospital-specific items to produce information that complements the data hospitals currently collect to support internal customer service and quality-related activities. More information about HCAHPS can be accessed by going directly to http://www.hcahpsonline.org Note: CAHPS is a registered trademark of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, a U.S. Government agency. Stony Brook University Hospital’s HCAHPS results can be viewed on the Hospital Compare website. The website can be accessed by going directly to http://www.medicare.gov/hospitalcompare/. We are interested in your feedback and questions. Please send an email to: sbuh_Quality@notes.cc.sunysb.edu to let us know if this is helpful, or if you need something you can't find here. |
