Learn How To Keep Your Heart Healthy at Every Age

    This free event includes:

    • Panel of experts to answer your heart health questions
    • Heart healthy dinner

    Wednesday, February 12
    5:30 to 8:30 pm
    Charles B. Wang Center
    Stony Brook University

Whether you’re twenty-something, seventy-something, or somewhere in between, you could be at risk for heart disease. Men can develop it. Women can develop it. Even teens. It’s the leading cause of death in our country, and an equal opportunity disease — one that goes around flirting with people of all different ages and backgrounds. So what better time than Valentine’s week and Heart Month, to learn what you can do to protect yourself from becoming vulnerable to its advances.

At our buffet dinner and informal panel discussion, you’ll have the opportunity to meet, learn from and ask questions of several of our Stony Brook University Heart Institute cardiologists and other heart experts. They’ll be on hand to explain risk factors, share prevention tips, tell you what signs and symptoms to look for and explain the latest treatment options available. When you register, submit a heart health question and we'll do our best to address as many questions as possible during the event.

This event is open to the public. Attendees will receive a validation for free parking. For more information, call (631) 444-4000. Registration required.
