Medical Emergency Warning Signs

The following list is not complete. Please consider your medical history and the severity of the situation.

Go to your local emergency room if you are experiencing one or more of the following symptoms:

• Shortness of breath
• A fever above 103F (for adults)
• Sudden or severe abdominal pain
• Obvious broken bones
• Uncontrollable bleeding
• Wounds requiring stitches
• A change in mental status or sudden confusion
• Chest pain
• Serious illness or injury
• Severe asthma attack
• Severe allergic reaction
• Loss of consciousness
• Poisoning
• Signs and symptoms of stroke

What To Bring In Case Of An Emergency

• A list of the patient's current medications
• Current medication dosage (when and how many)
• The patient's physicians and pharmacy name and telephone number
• A list of family and friends names and telephone numbers
• List of allergies or any known drug or food reactions
• Past medical history
• Past surgeries
• Insurance card
• Social security card
