    As the focal point for clinical research within Stony Brook Medicine, the Clinical Research Core (CRC) provides investigators with the resources they need to conduct clinical research under controlled circumstances, while encouraging collaboration among basic and clinical scientists throughstudies that may translate into new or improved patient care methods. The CRC has played a central role in improving prevention and care for many diseases and conditions including diabetes, HIV disease, stroke, prostate cancer, schizophrenia and heart disease.
