Join CEO Carol Gomes on her “Day in the Life” visits to hospital departments and units, as she gets to know staff motivations, fulfillment, points of pride, barriers and challenges in providing outstanding care to our patients.

What works well in your area? What makes it difficult for you to do your job? Do you have the tools and equipment you need? What are your suggestions for fixing it? What ideas do you have for improving the patient and employee experience? What can we do to support you and your team more successfully?

I will report my experiences in “Day in the Life” visits to hospital departments and units. Through these visits, I hope to learn more about your work, including your personal points of pride in working for Stony Brook, your motivations in coming to work each day, your daily stressors and your sources of personal and professional fulfillment in performing your jobs.

I encourage us to have an ongoing dialogue in this forum, so that together we can champion our strengths, and identify and remove barriers to providing outstanding care to our patients.

Carol A. Gomes, CEO
