Specialized Care for Patients Who Have Had a COVID-19 Infection

The Post-COVID Clinic aims to provide ongoing care and assessment of adult patients who are recovering from COVID-19 and may have persistent symptoms. As of September 1, 2023, our office has moved and is now located at a brand new, state-of-the-art facility: Advanced Specialty Care at Lake Grove. We look forward to seeing you at our new practice location!

What to expect from our clinic:

  • Each patient will receive a customized care plan based on the symptoms they’re experiencing.
  • When you have an appointment at the Post-COVID Clinic, a primary care doctor who has been seeing patients with Post-COVID symptoms, will do your initial intake. They will also work with your own primary care doctor, to help you meet your health goals. If you do not have a primary care doctor, we can help connect you to one.
  • Patients will have access to Stony Brook Medicine providers and services within our four hospitals and 200+ community healthcare facilities across Suffolk County. Expertise is available in primary care, cardiology (heart), pulmonology (lungs), nephrology (kidneys), neurology (nervous system), psychiatry (mental and emotional health), vascular (blood vessels), radiology (imaging), and other specialties as needed.

We also offer a COVID-19 Support Group for anyone - patients, family members, friends and members of the community - looking for an outlet to discuss the emotional effects of COVID-19: Thursdays, 6 to 7 pm via Zoom. For more information, call (631) 632-2428.

Because the long-term effects of COVID-19 infections are not yet known, comprehensive follow up and evaluation of patients who are recovering is important for optimizing long term health. As part of its mission, Stony Brook Medicine is dedicated to conducting research and sharing knowledge with the broader medical community as well as helping patients to access the latest care. Patients who come to the clinic will also be helping doctors to better identify, understand and treat the virus’s after effects and chronic aspects.
