Dr. Courtney O’Brien is a Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Stony Brook School of Medicine. She obtained her Ph.D. at Stony Brook University. Her fellowship training was with Geisinger Medical Center in Danville in Clinical Psychology, with an emphasis on Behavioral Medicine. Her fellowship had an emphasis on integrated care, where she collaborated with primary care, various oncology clinics, cardiology, and with the bariatric surgery team. Upon starting at Stony Brook, she worked within the integrated care program to help build integrated behavioral health services in internal medicine, family medicine, and OB/GYN. She is currently certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia and Perinatal Mental Health Counseling.
