Topology optimization is a powerful optimization-based method for generating optimal designs without relying on designers' intuition, experience, or inspiration. In this presentation, Dr. Shikui Chen will provide a brief overview of the state of the art, introduce a level-set-based topology optimization framework, and discuss some recent advances in this framework.
