Our Intensive Cardiac Rehabilitation Program (ICR) powered by Pritikin complements the existing cardiac services we offer, enabling our practice to meet the diverse demands of our patients. With this program, we cater to patients’ unique needs after a cardiac event.
This evidence-based program aimed at improving cardiovascular health combines exercise, nutrition and lifestyle modifications, ensuring a personalized and effective journey towards improving heart health.
With the addition of this program, we elevate our standard of patient care by offering expert medical treatment and proactive measures to manage and prevent the worsening of heart conditions.
Our focus on both medical intervention and lifestyle changes ensures that, as a patient, you receive well-rounded, long-term support for your heart health journey.

MEET OUR ICR TEAM
Jennifer Cain, RN
ICR Program Administrator
Jennifer joins our team with 25 years of experience as a registered nurse at Stony Brook University Hospital. Her nursing career mainly focused on working with cardiology patients.
She worked in the Stony Brook Heart Institute, Cath Lab Holding Area, and in 2009, became a clinician of the Outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation Program.
Jennifer is excited to bring her knowledge and love of cardiac rehabilitation to North Suffolk Cardiology's new ICR program!
Veronica Barat, MS, CEP, CISSN
ICR Clinical Exercise Physiologist
Veronica graduated summa cum laude with her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from Hofstra University and received her Master’s in Sports Science and Exercise Physiology there as well.
With a background in physical therapy and traditional cardiac rehabilitation. Veronica is excited to connect with each patient to aid in bringing comprehensive, personalized care to establish healthy habits for their best life while cracking a dad joke or two.
Christina Di Lieto, RDN, CDN
ICR Registered Dietitian
Christina is a New York State Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist and received her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics at Long Island University, Post Campus, where she went on to complete her dietetic internship. She has a rich background in providing nutrition education at the group level with individuals of all ages.
Christina looks forward to combining her love of nutrition and passion for helping others through her work at our Intensive Cardiac Rehabilitation.
Ashley Ryan
ICR Unit Coordinator
Ashley received her associate degree in general studies from Suffolk County Community College, where she is pursuing a degree in psychology. She served as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Mather Hospital for five years before joining North Suffolk Cardiology as a Patient Coordinator. Ashley was recently promoted to Unit Coordinator of our ICR Program.
Born and raised on Long Island, Ashley loves to spend time with her friends, family, and, most importantly, her son, Lincoln. She loves her work and is dedicated to ensuring the ICR runs in tip-top shape.
Anne Ohm, RN
ICR Nurse
Anne received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Adelphi University. She has 12 years of nursing experience: 10 years at St. Francis Hospital, where she mainly cared for cardiology patients after their cardiac procedures and two years at Stony Brook University Hospital. She is also a certified Medical-Surgical RN.
Anne is excited to bring her knowledge of cardiac care to the North Suffolk Cardiology ICR program.
