North Suffolk Cardiology Celebrates American Heart Month

North Suffolk Cardiology celebrates American Heart Month by highlighting our specialized services dedicated to cardiovascular health. Our practice offers services including a state-of-the-art cardiac electrophysiology and arrhythmia center, a congestive heart failure management program, advanced diagnostic testing capabilities including a digital PET-CT scanner, cutting-edge interventional cardiology services, specialized care for cardiovascular health during pregnancy and intensive cardiac rehabilitation services.

With a team of 14 skilled cardiologists, nine advanced practice providers, and 130 dedicated support staff, we are committed to providing exceptional care to our community. On February 2, our physicians and staff went red for women on Go Red Day. In honor of Go Red for Women, Dr. Wolfe brings awareness to how cardiovascular disease impacts women.

"This February, I encourage you to think of all the women in your life: your wives, mothers, daughters, grandmothers and friends. This is the time to remember that cardiovascular disease is the most common cause of death amongst women, more than all forms of cancer combined. It is also important to recognize that cardiovascular disease presents very differently in women. Your doctor is equipped with many tools today to ensure you are not part of these statistics. However, these tools can only be used if you seek medical care. I implore you to empower the women around you to care for their health. Together, we can change these statistics. We, as women, are more than the caretakers of our community. We are the caretakers of our own lives. Our health is important," said Laura Wolfe, DO, FACC.
