It is a privilege to learn from and work with multiple generations of trainees, students and faculty
"As a Renaissance School of Medicine alumna, it is a tremendous honor to become a Professor in the same department that inspired my passion for surgery," said Dr. Huston. "It is a privilege to learn from and work with multiple generations of trainees, students, and faculty. I look forward to helping others forge their career paths in surgery, and continuing to contribute to the academic and clinical missions of Stony Brook Medicine."
Doctor Huston, a native Long Islander, not only attended medical school at Stony Brook, but was a Simons Research Fellow in Dr. Berhane Ghebrehiwet's lab in the 1990s.
