We are happy to welcome Lisa Steinberg, RN, as our newest addition to the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic. Lisa started her professional career in medical-surgical and emergency room nursing. After receiving her board certification in emergency nursing, she pursued her Master's degree in nursing administration and served as a clinician on 15 S here at Stony Brook University Hospital. After some time in this clinician role, Lisa pursued a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner degree at Molloy College and became board certified. As a nurse practitioner, Lisa takes great interest in sleep disorders, eating disorders and anxiety & depression in adolescents. Lisa’s goals include development of psycho-educational groups for adolescents with these specific disorders, and collaboration with the school of nursing to teach and be a resource for nursing and nurse practitioner students.
