How to Apply

1. Download the official CPE application here. (Click here for instructions about how to complete a CPE application.)
2. Consult the table below for the CPE program dates and application deadline. Applications received by the deadline will be given priority consideration. Applications received after the deadline will be considered as space allows.  
3. Once you've completed your CPE application, please email it as one PDF or Word document to David.Fleenor@stonybrookmedicine.edu. 
4. Direct your reference providers to complete the online reference form here.  

Application Requirements

CPE Residents

1. Bachelor's degree.
2. Completion of at least one unit of CPE.  
3. Ability to work with people from any religious/spiritual background or none.  
4. Ability to work collaboratively. 
5. Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. 
6. Excellent written and oral communication skills. 

CPE Interns

1. Bachelor's degree.
2. Ability to work with people from any religious/spiritual background or none.  
3. Ability to work collaboratively. 
4. Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
