We are a community-based surgical practice addressing healthcare in Greenport, Mattituck, Southampton, Southold and the surrounding communities. Our goal at East End Surgical is for you to feel confident about the quality and coordination of the medical care you receive. We are continuously investing in new practices, technologies and procedures to help enhance our ability to provide more effective and consistent communication about information regarding your health.  


Our Physicians

Dr. SwaszekLuke Swaszek, MD

Luke Swaszek, MD, is a board-certified general surgeon with specialized training in minimally invasive surgery, providing patient-centered care on the North Fork of Long Island.

"Effective surgery is built on the foundation of trust between the surgeon and the patient. I believe this trust is established through clear, open communication and a genuine commitment to listening to my patient's concerns and needs,” said Dr. Swaszek. “By fostering this connection, I help to alleviate anxieties and create an environment where patients feel truly supported, which I believe leads to better outcomes."

Dr. Swaszek earned his medical degree from Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine. He completed his residency in general surgery at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, and his surgical fellowship at Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, NY.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Alexa Rae Pesce, MDDr. Pesce

Alexa-Rae Pesce, MD, specializes in general and acute care surgery and provides comprehensive, compassionate care to patients throughout the communities she serves.

“I am thrilled to be a part of Stony Brook Medicine Community Medical Group as a general surgeon with East End Surgical. Collaborating with this group offers a distinct opportunity to deliver top-notch surgical and peri-operative care, as well as acute care surgical services to a diverse range of communities located on the East End of Long Island,” said Alexa-Rae Pesce, MD.

Dr. Pesce received her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, and completed her residency at Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, NY.

Stony Brook Medicine is dedicated to advancing health and well-being for all, bringing expertise and compassion to every patient served, and fostering a healthier future for the entire region. Dr. Pesce looks forward to embodying these critical health tenets as a surgeon operating on the East End.

 

 


 

Gurpreet Gill, MD, FACS, RPVIDr. Gill

Dr. Gill is a board-certified surgeon specializing in vascular surgery. With more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Gill has special interest in all aspects of vascular surgery, including dialysis access, aortic aneurysm repair and venous insufficiency. He provides comprehensive care, treating peripheral vascular disease and carotid artery disease, including performing complex carotid endarterectomy procedures.

"Being a part of Stony Brook Medicine Community Medical Group enables me to bring specialized vascular surgical care to the East End of Long Island,” said Dr. Gill. “I look forward to serving this community with a commitment to quality and the latest surgical advancements to improve patient outcomes and well-being."

Dr. Gill received his medical degree from Odessa Medical University in Odessa, Ukraine and completed his preliminary general surgery residency at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA and his general surgery residency at Capital Health – East Trenton in Trenton, NJ and University Health in Kansas City, MO. Dr. Gill completed his fellowship in vascular surgery at CAMC (Charleston Area Medical Center) in Charleston, WV.
