Conditions Treated

Coronary Artery Disease is the most common type of heart disease in which plaque (fat, cholesterol, calcium and other substances) builds up inside the coronary arteries that supply oxygen-rich blood to your heart.

Valvular Heart Disease is any disease involving one or more of the valves of the heart.

Cardiomyopathy is the deterioration of the myocardium (heart muscles). This disease can enlarge your heart muscle or make it thicker and more rigid than normal.

Congestive Heart Failure is the inability of the heart to supply sufficient blood flow to meet the needs of the body.

Cardiac Arrhythmia is a condition when your heart’s normal rhythm is disrupted.

Device Therapy is the treatment of various heart conditions with small, mechanical devices such as a pacemaker placed in the chest or abdomen to help control abnormal heart rhythms, or an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) to reduce the risk of sudden death from rapid heartbeats.

Peripheral Artery Disease is a disease that occurs when plaque builds up in the arteries that carry blood to your head, organs and limbs.

State-of-the-Art Imaging Technology

At HALI, we use the latest technology to ensure accuracy, efficacy, safety, and to enhance the patient experience for you.

Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Your physician can access these secure, internet-based records from home or while on call. EMRs help provide a higher quality of care because all of the medical professionals treating you will have the same medical information about you at their fingertips.

Pacemaker Check Monitoring Program: Our program enables you, as the patient, to send information about your device, wirelessly to your physician.

ABI and CVI Technology: At our practice, we use a non-invasive ankle-brachial index (ABI) screening test to diagnose peripheral artery disease (PAD) in your legs and noninvasive technology to diagnose Chronic venous insufficiency (CVI).

Echocardiogram Machines: To ensure high-quality imaging, we use a GE Vivid E90 machine, which is considered the gold standard of echocardiogram machines.

Nuclear Cardiac Cameras: We’ve invested in a Discovery NM 530c, which offers a revolutionary design using cadmium-zinc-telluride (CZT) solid-state detectors. We are the first in Suffolk County to adopt this new technology in nuclear cardiology. This ultrafast SPECT imaging offers increased patient comfort and safety. Our patients will benefit from stress testing that has a reduced radiation dose and a shorter scan time, compared to traditional nuclear cameras, while providing increased diagnostic accuracy.

Prone Imaging: When your cardiologist uses a nuclear camera to provide a diagnosis, your doctor may have you lie on your stomach instead of your back, so we can see different areas of your heart better. This method doesn’t expose you to further radiation, and it is incorporated into your standard nuclear test.
