BOTOX Cosmetic
Fine lines are caused by repeated muscle contractions from facial expressions such as frowning, squinting or raising eyebrows causing skin to crease and fold. This gradually leads to the formation of facial lines also known as animation lines. Botox cosmetic reduces this underlying muscle activity by partially immobilizing the muscles to smooth the lines around the eyes (crow’s feet), between the eyebrows (“11” lines), and the forehead (worry lines). Unlike hyaluronic acid dermal fillers that fill facial wrinkles or creases, neurotoxins such as Botox help to prevent static lines from forming. Improvement in these lines are visible within 48-72 hours and can last up to four months. Since Botox treatments are not permanent, maintenance is required to prevent fine lines from slowly returning. We offer Dysport as well to meet patient preferences!

The Juvéderm family of Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers (HAs) work by attracting water at a cellular level. These fillers can hold up to 1,000 times their weight in water, resulting in the appearance of naturally rounder, fuller skin. Fillers create a plump look, and can be injected all over the face, including in the temples, tear troughs, cheekbones, smile lines, lips, the chin, and the jawline. Your dermatologist will determine which Juvéderm filler is best to help you achieve the correction you want.

Safety
- All of our cosmetic injectables are FDA approved with excellent safety records. Hyaluronic acid gels are protective lubricating gels (sugar) naturally produced by the body and found in skin cells. Outside of ensuring legitimate, properly labeled products are being used, safety and outcomes depend on the medical and technical expertise in technique and application in which board-certified cosmetic dermatologists are specifically trained.
Comfort
- Every treatment we provide is presented with a focus on patient comfort. Since all patients have varying tolerance levels for pain or discomfort, we use topical numbing creams or numbing medicine pre-procedure. Every patient who receives a treatment provided by our board-certified dermatologists will also be accompanied by a caring and trained nurse or member of our clinical support staff who improves the overall experience by adding an extra layer of emotional and psychological support.
Biostimulating Fillers
Sculptra consists of a Poly-L-Lactic acid that has collagen regenerative properties stimulating the body’s own collagen growth. One of the sequela of aging skin is loss of natural collagen production which serves as the defining building blocks supporting facial structure. When this begins to deteriorate, the foundation of what gives us our youthful appearance slowly changes exposing the reality of aging. Sculptra is designed to “wake up” collagen regeneration so your body does the work it was meant to do resulting in a more full and healthy look by working locally in the tissues under wrinkles and accentuating bone structure. Typically Sculptra treatments are recommended in a series of three staged treatments over the course of a few months and we have seen incredible results with longevity!

Radiesse is another biostimulating volumizer targeted for collagen and elastin synthesis helping to restore contour and soften the look of wrinkles by plumping areas showing signs of aging (hands, neck, decolletage). Unlike many fillers, Radiesse is not hyaluronic-based and is instead comprised of gel microspheres. Lost elastin is kicked into gear by improving connective tissues that are the supporting structures of skin.
