Medical Nutrition Therapy for diabetes and Diabetes Education should be covered by your insurance, depending on your carrier and the plan your employer negotiated with the carrier.  To determine if your insurance will cover these services, we highly recommend you call your insurance company with the following information before arriving for your appointment. Please ask your insurance representative how many “hours or units” per year you are entitled to for each service. 

Please note the Diabetes Education Center’s services are billed as OUTPATIENT HOSPITAL SERVICES/FACILITY.
