If you are using drugs, please STOP all drug use immediately prior to surgery. It is essential that you discuss your drug use with the pre-operative team and/or your anesthesiologist so that necessary safety measures can be put into place.
Patients who are recovering from drug use and are on the following medications: Buprenorphine, Suboxone, Butrans, or Subutex should discuss this with the Pre-operative Team at their Pre-op Visit.
